What Meditation During the Chaplet?

Question:

What should our meditation be when praying, "O blood and water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus..."?

Answer:

In praying those words, you can meditate on when a Roman soldier actually thrust a spear into Jesus’ side (John 19:34).

However, during these words and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in general, you can also meditate on Jesus’ Passion in general, the redemptive impact of Paschal Mystery in general, and how it can impact your life and those of your loved ones in particular. The Chaplet could also involve meditating in gratitude on how Christ’s Paschal Mystery has impacted our lives and those of others.
