What Is the Significance of Suddenly Smelling Flowers?

Question:

What does it mean if you suddenly smell flowers? I asked my granddaughter and she said she couldn’t smell it.

Answer:

It may just mean that you’re near flowers and the recognition of their scent confirms their proximity to you, even if you don’t see them. The scent of flowers, particularly roses, has been associated with the presence of the Blessed Mother, e.g., when there was no natural explanation otherwise for the scent.

In any event, what’s most important is that we should remember that our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady, his Blessed Mother, are with us, even when we can’t sense any accompanying wondrous signs.
