To Be Safe, Keep It Catholic

Question:

Should a Catholic attend a Protestant Bible study?

Answer:

I would recommend caution. First, I would recommend that anyone not well-formed in the Catholic Faith not participate in such a study but rather look for a faithful Catholic Bible study or other formation efforts at their local parish. Such a Catholic would be susceptible to being misled regarding Catholic doctrine and related biblical support.

Even if you’re well-formed in your faith, I would recommend checking out Catholic.com for refresher material, including the classic biblical apologetics overview on the Church, Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth.

We’re a nonprofit —no ads, just truth. Will you help us stay that way?
