Is There a Patron Saint for Discernment?

Question:

Is there a patron saint for discernment?

Answer:

One possibility is Ignatius of Loyola whose Spiritual Exercises were created to help aid right discernment. His order, the Society of Jesus, has also been active in higher education and founded a number of universities in the United States. On the subject of discernment, Ignatius said, “We should always be prepared so as never to err to believe that what we see as white is black, if the hierarchy of the Church defines it thus.”
