Is Changing the Greeting an Abuse?

Question:

Is it considered liturgical abuse if the priest changes some of the words during Mass? For example, if he says "fellowship of the Holy Spirit" instead of "communion of the Holy Spirit" during the Introductory Rite?

Answer:

Therefore no other person, even if he be a priest, may add, remove, or change anything in the liturgy on his own authority (Sacrosanctum Concilium 22,3).

Priests should not be changing the words of the Mass. That being said, in my opinion, your example falls pretty far down the list of liturgical abuses. Considering that the priest is using the prior translation of that greeting, it could simply be so ingrained in him that it just naturally comes out.
