How necessary is it to have the sanctuary lamps lit while the Blessed Sacrament is in the tabernacle?

Answer:

The sanctuary lamp is required and not a minor thing. After all, it signifies the sacramental presence of almighty God. What greater significance could a lamp possibly have?
