How Can an Infinite God Be in Finite Humans?

Question:

How is God in us if he is so great and infinite, since we are so small and finite?

Answer:

Look at it this way: how could God be infinite—and therefore omnipresent—and yet not be able to present to us and in us? He wouldn’t really be infinite, right?

God creates everything and thus is present to us in one sense because he holds us in existence. In a more intimate way, by sanctifying grace, God dwells within us as his children, beginning with baptism, which requires our cooperation or that of our parents, especially in the case of infants (CCC 1265-66, 1 Cor. 6:19).
