Erroneous Private Revelation

Question:

What is "The Testimony of the Two Witnesses"?

Answer:

“The Testimony of the Two Witnesses” is a self-styled English-speaking “Catholic” group based somewhere in North America that not only doesn’t accept Pope Francis but also rejected Pope Benedict XVI two years into his pontificate, because the group believes that “Petrus Romanus” was elevated by Jesus to be the last Pope in 2007, i.e., during Benedict’s pontificate. They also base Petrus Romanus’s “pontificate” on their inferences of the alleged prophecies of St. Malachy.

Two of their number think they are the “two witnesses” spoken of in Revelation 11, and these two believe they have received from Jesus the aforementioned messages about Pope Benedict XVI, Petrus Romanus, and Pope Francis. As you can see, this is “Magisterium” by alleged and erroneous private revelation, including regarding St. Malachy.

In short, don’t pay heed to this group or its website. Instead, pray for them, that they might return to full communion with the Church.
