Does Being Catholic Mean Being Good?

Question:

Does being Catholic mean being good?

Answer:

Living a morally good life is fundamental to being Catholic, but Catholicism is first and foremost about being a disciple of Jesus Christ within the family of God—the Catholic Church—he founded (see Matt. 16:18-19).

That means repenting of our sins and being baptized, whereby we become temples of the Holy Trinity so that we can live holy lives of love, which involve performing meritorious good works, i.e., ones that are grace-filled.
