Dear catholic.com visitors: This website from Catholic Answers, with all its many resources, is the world's largest source of explanations for Catholic beliefs and practices. A fully independent, lay-run, 501(c)(3) ministry that receives no funding from the institutional Church, we rely entirely on the generosity of everyday people like you to keep this website going with trustworthy , fresh, and relevant content. Steve Gershom is Catholic man in his late twenties, with same-sex attraction. As a faithful Catholic, he maintains that having a romantic relationship doesn’t fit with the way he sees the world.  He keeps a blog (www.stevegershom.com) where he offers support and advice to Catholics with SSA and their families.  Steve Gershom is a pseudonym he uses when talking about SSA to anyone other than close friends and family.

He graduated from a Catholic liberal arts college with a degree in literature, and now works as a web developer.
