Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC, is director of the Association of Marian Helpers, a spiritual benefits society of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. He received his Masters in Theology from St. John’s Seminary in Boston and his Licentiate in Spiritual Theology from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC.

He has authored a book, Consoling the Heart of Jesus: A Do-It-Yourself Retreat Inspired by the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, now in its second printing and quickly becoming a modern spiritual classic.  He has just recently completed a companion guide to his book. A familiar face on EWTN, Father Gaitley gives talks and retreats around the country on topics such as Divine Mercy, the merciful outlook as articulated by Pope John Paul II, and Consoling spirituality.  When he is not giving retreats and missions, Fr. Gaitley lives and works on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, Mass., home of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy.
