Brian Butler

Brian Butler is the co-founder and president of Dumb Ox Ministries, a non-profit organization doing chastity and vocation formation for teens and young adults.  He is co-author of Theology of the Body for Teens: High School and Middle School Editions and the director of the feature-length reality film, Mystery Trip.  Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of New Orleans and a master’s degree in theology from Notre Dame Seminary School of Theology.

He served as the associate director for youth catechesis in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for two years, after spending five years teaching theology and coordinating campus ministry at the high school level.  He has more than fifteen years of youth ministry experience and currently coordinates vocation formation initiatives for youth in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux and the Archiocese of New Orleans.  He and his wife, Lisa, reside in the New Orleans area with their four children.
