Angelo Stagnaro (“Erasmus”) performs as a stage magician and mentalist and divides his time between Europe andNorth America. He is the editor of “Smoke & Mirrors,” the Net’s largest e-zine for professional magicians. Angelo has published articles in most of the major Catholic journals in theUnited StatesandGreat Britainand is a correspondent for Catholic News Service. Angelo has authored several books on mentalism/cold reading including “Conspiracy,” “Something from Nothing,” “The Other Side” and “Shibboleth.” This series has been translated into four languages and is considered seminal in the art. In addition, he’s written an instructional book for catechists which uses stage magic as a teaching tool for children and young adults entitled “Catechism Magic.” The book is published by Crossroad Publishing. In 2007, the Brooklyn Diocese preliminarily awarded it a nihil obstat and imprimatur. “The Debunker’s Bible” is Angelo’s Christian apologetic refutation of psychic and occult charlatans. He is also the International Chairman of the Catholic Magicians’ Guild.

His newest book, “The Christian Book of the Dead,” is a religious guide that explores the mysteries of death and the afterlife and seeks to answer some of life’s most pressing and universal questions by drawing from truths central to the Christian tradition.
