Transcription:

I’m excited to announce the first ever Counsel of Trent conference being hosted right here in Dallas on Saturday, April 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church. The theme will be How to Evangelize online and to help equip you to do that we have a lot of great speakers joining me including Brian Holdsworth, Lila Rose, Joe Heschmeyer, and Evan Raugust.

We’re also inviting over two dozen Catholic social media artists, a term I prefer to “content creators”, who will join us for special panel discussions. This includes:

Keith Nester, Franco of Franco TV, Amber Rose the Religious Hippie, Cameron Bertuzzi of Capturing Christianity, Thomas Graf of Catholic.com, That One Catholic Girl, Deuterocomical, Since AD33, Byzantine Scotist, The Joyful Catholic, Master Samwise, Cameron Riecker, The Biblical Bookworm, Bryan Mercier of Catholic Truth, Laura Horn and many others to be confirmed!

Along with great talks and panels, we will also have plenty of time for you to just hang out and meet the main speakers and invited social media artists.

Tickets are on sale now for $69 but if you are a patron of the Counsel of Trent, you’ll get a special discount code and be able to purchase tickets for just $49 dollars. Our invited guests will also be giving out discount codes to their supporters so stay tuned to their announcements as well.

We are pricing tickets as low as possible because we really want as many people as possible to join us. Recently Pope Leo XIV said of social media evangelism that we need, “Networks where we can mend what has been broken, heal from loneliness, not focus on the number of followers but experience the greatness of infinite love in every encounter

That’s why we want as many people as possible to attend this conference to be built up in community to do just that. Also, we only have a limited number of tickets so if you like The Counsel of Trent then get your tickets at conferenceoftrent.com.

And finally, on a personal note, the last few months have been crazy with Laura’s cancer diagnosis and treatment. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who prayed for us because it really has felt like a miracle that Laura received such a statistically good prognosis, like one that comes up in less than 3 percent of cases and that she’s recovering well. However, she’s still easily tired and stutters but her language is coming back well. The doctors say it will still take a full year to feel somewhat normal again.

I also want to thank everyone who dropped off meals for our meal train and joined our patron community at trenthornpodcast.com because you’ve really helped financially given that I can’t take normal speaking events right now and my travel is very limited. Everyone’s generosity has been overwhelming and I’m really grateful for how much we’ve felt God’s presence in our lives during this tough period.

Laura is getting much better and can now do things like drive on her own, but because of that my body and soul feel like they’re telling me, “Okay, now that Laura’s better you have permission to fall apart.” I think many husbands know what it feels like when the chips are down that you have to just pull it together no matter what and put one foot in front of the other. But you only have a finite amount of energy to do that and when the main crisis is averted, then you lose your energy to manage everything. So, after keeping up with regularly posting episodes, finishing my new book “Why Salvation is From the Catholic Church” which has now been sent off to our printers, and managing one crisis after another in our home during the past four months, I’m on the edge of burn out.

So, I’m going to be taking a few weeks off to pray and get re-focused so I can come back and be fresh and fully energized to create episodes that really excel in sharing the Gospel and leading people to the Faith. So please pray for me during this time of recuperation, check out our older episodes to tell You tube’s algorithm that we still exist,  and yeah, I just hope you all have a very blessed day.
