Violating Vows to Become Catholic?

Question:

Is becoming Catholic a sin if I took a confirmation vow to remain Protestant?

Answer:

No. An immoral vow cannot be binding. A vow which would prevent someone from entering the Church in which the fullness of truth subsists would clearly be immoral and therefore cannot be binding.
