The Pause That Refreshes

Question:

I have reconnected with my husband after thirty years. Neither of us married again, nor was our marriage annulled. Would it be a sin for us to be intimate again? Thank you.

Answer:

If you were married in the Catholic Church and the marriage was never annulled, it would seem that you are still validly married to each other and are therefore entitled to marital intimacy.

We’re a nonprofit —no ads, just truth. Will you help us stay that way?
