The Exiled Apostle

Question:

Did an apostle end up living years on an island until he died?

Answer:

According to tradition, the apostle John was exiled to the island of Patmos at some point during the reign of Emperor Domitian (c. A.D. 81-96), but he returned to Ephesus during the reign of Trajan (c. 98-117) and died in Ephesus around the year 100.
