Praying for Someone to Fall in Love with You

God will always respond positively to a prayer to love our neighbor. However, this does not mean that a romantic or affective love is necessary or even desirable. God will give us the grace to desire the true good of our neighbor, and that is love. If it is his will that our desire for our neighbor’s true good includes our “falling in love” or being romantically connected, then he will give us that as well. In any case, it is always a good thing to ask for God’s gifts, especially the ones that only he can give.
