Must Grown Children Obey Parents?

Question:

What is the duty of a 28 year old single woman in regards to obedience to her father?

Answer:

.  . . Obedience toward parents ceases with the emancipation of the children; not so respect, which is always owed to them. (Catechism, 2217)

28 year old individuals do not owe obedience to their parents. Children who are adults should always respect their parents but they have the right to make all their own decisions.
