Mortal Sin and Consecration to Mary

Question:

If I am in the process of consecrating myself to the Virgin Mary, and I committed a mortal sin, do I have to restart?

Answer:

Not at all. This is just a sign that you should continue and not delay a day, since you are in great need of the grace of consecration. Just look at it from Our Lady’s point of view: do you think she wants you to wait any longer, since your sin is a clear sign that you need her more than ever? Consecration to Our Lady is not like one of the sacraments; it is meant to support the life of the sacraments.
