May the Orthodox Go to Catholic Confession?

Question:

Can a baptized Greek Orthodox, who wishes to convert to Catholicism but doesn’t know if he was confirmed, confess in the Catholic Church?

Answer:

It would be rare for a Greek Orthodox person to be baptized but not receive confirmation. It is the tradition of the Greek Orthodox Church to administer all three sacraments of initiation (baptism, confirmation, First Communion) at the same time.

The Code of Canon Law (can. 844 §3) does permit members of the Orthodox Churches to receive sacraments in the Catholic Church. Therefore, a person baptized Greek Orthodox could go to confession in the Catholic Church, even if he was not confirmed.
