May Priests Wear Rings?

Question:

Can a Catholic priest wear rings (promise rings from adolescence, class rings from high school, etc.)?

Answer:

There are no rules in the universal Church that would forbid the wearing of rings by a priest. Due to the fact that there are rings that symbolize ecclesial authority, a local episcopal conference or diocese might have its own rule forbidding the wearing of non-ecclesiastical rings to avoid confusion, but there is no universal rule against the practice.
