May Incense Be Used at Any Mass?

Question:

May incense be used at any Mass? One of our priests uses incense at every Mass. The other priest does not, even on solemnities. Is it the priest’s choice?

Answer:

Incense may be used at any Mass. The usual practice is to only use it for solemnities and special occasions, but there is nothing that states it cannot be used at every Mass, nor is there anything stating that it must be used. Therefore, it is entirely at the discretion of the celebrant.
