Jews and Gentiles

Question:

What is the difference between gentiles and Jews?

Answer:

A Jew is someone who is a descendant of Abraham. Anyone who is born to a Jewish mother or is an accepted convert to Judaism is considered Jewish. Although some forms of Judaism now accept a child as Jewish if the father is Jewish and the mother is not, this is not the traditional nor prevailing view.

A gentile is someone who is not a descendant of Abraham and has not converted to Judaism.
