Can the Unbaptized Baptize?

Question:

Can an unbaptized person still baptize someone?

Answer:

Yes, anyone can baptize. All that is required is that the person baptizing has the intention “to do what the Church does” and to use the trinitarian formula. If proper matter (water) and form (trinitarian formula) are used and the person truly intends to baptize another person, then the baptism is valid (although highly illicit outside of extraordinary circumstances).
