Can Someone Lose Their Salvation After Baptism?

Listen to the audio version of this content

Question:

Can someone lose their salvation after baptism by performing bad works?

Answer:

We face the loss of our salvation if we commit a mortal sin.  In order to be culpable for a mortal sin the person must know that a certain choice is a grave matter and freely choose to commit it.  Of course, another way to place one’s salvation in jeopardy is to reject the faith.
