Can Saints Grant Gifts?

Question:

Can saints grant gifts?

Answer:

Well, can you give a gift? Of course you can. You can encourage, inspire, nourish and care for others in this earthly life. And so it is all the more true that the saints in heaven can give us good things that flow from their happiness, their merits, and their relationship with the living who ask for their prayers and help. Why should the saints be weaker in doing good than the living?

We Catholics do not believe that the dead are separated from us in this way, unless they are among the damned. So certainly, let us ask the saints for gifts, especially greater faith and hope and love, whereby we here below can give gifts to those around us.
