Can a Divorced Person Become Catholic?

Question:

Can a person who has been divorced twice enter the Catholic Church?

Answer:

Yes, divorce by itself is not an impediment to becoming a Catholic.

However, the individual is still considered married and ineligible to enter another marriage unless he or she obtains an annulment.
