Are Taxes Unbiblical?

Question:

Are taxes unbiblical?

Answer:

Jesus did not consider it unjust to pay taxes to Caesar. (Mk. 12:13-17; Matt. 22:15-22; Lk. 20:20-26).

St. Paul explicitly tells Christians to pay their taxes:

Pay to all their dues, taxes to whom taxes are due, toll to whom toll is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due. (Rom. 13:7)
