Darin Lovelace has been working in primary, secondary, and higher education for 20 years. He earned his Doctorate of Education at California State University in Sacramento in 2022, studying mathematical resilience among high school students. Raised in the Southern Baptist church, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University Divinity School and served as an ordained minister in the Episcopal and Anglican churches before his conversion to Catholicism in 2017. He currently serves as Principal of the Cristo Rey High School in Sacramento, California, where he also previously taught mathematics. He lives in the Sacramento area with his wife and their two dogs. They have six children, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
