Catholic Answers Moves into Video

With the prevalence of smartphones and tablets, people are more and more likely to access information via mobile devices than via computers. That is why Catholic Answers is building up our YouTube channel to make it the most recognizable, trusted, well-stocked Catholic channel on YouTube. We will do this by producing a variety of short videos about Scripture, the sacraments, culture, canon law—anything that may answer the objections of non-Catholics and strengthen the faith of Catholics. Our goal is to have entertaining, attractive videos that our audience will want to share through social media to bring more souls to Christ.

“These short videos are a natural progression of Catholic Answers’ work,” said John Vercillo, director of video production. “Karl Keating began with short Catholic tracts placed on car windshields. Now we will be producing short videos to be shared via social media. Both are aimed at offering quick yet comprehensive explanations of Church teachings.”

The “webisodes” will be engaging and of high quality. We will be filming in-house, at outside locations, and on a sound stage. There will be voiceover narration, apologists speaking onscreen and off screen, high-definition stock footage and photography, custom-designed motion graphics, and music tracks.
