Does the Catechism promote private interpretation of Scripture?


According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, &quot;knowledge of revealed truth&quot; is &quot;deepened&quot; by &quot;theological research&quot; and by &quot;the intimate sense of spiritual realities which [believers] experience&quot; (CCC 94). I thought that the magisterium was the authentic interpreter of Scripture and that private interpretation was taboo.<br />
