I’m a recent convert. My grandfather is a fallen away Catholic and is looking into it again. He had converted to marry my grandmother but was poorly catechized. Can you recommend a book or resource for him?

One argument Thomas Paine makes against the Church is: how can one be held responsibile to receive the message (gospel) that he didn’t receive directly? It seems unreasonable that we should trust someone that says they had a revelation. If one does accept it, then why don’t they accept the message of Joseph Smith? How would a Catholic respond to this?

Why is the feast of the Holy Innocents before the Epiphany?

In the feeding of the four thousand, why did the disciples seem so surprised? They had already seen the feeding of the five thousand and knew Jesus could do this, right?

Was Mary always a virgin in her life? Did she have children after Jesus?
