I was curious about the past readings at Mass during advent. In one it says that John was filled with the Holy Spirit but later Jesus said that “Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” I thought being filled with the Holy Spirit was the kingdom of heaven?
Why are Catholics so bad with presenting the faith? Why are we always on the defensive?
I read A Year With the Bible by Patrick Madrid, but I want to go further and learn more, what else would you suggest?
I’ve heard a lot of comments over the years about the timing of the year of Christmas. The birth of Christ did not happen on Dec 25, that it happened in the Spring, etc. Could you give me a whole hearted comment on this and set things straight?
Jimmy wrote a foreword to Roman Catholics and Evangelicals and I was wondering if there were things in the book to watch out for or an overall take of the book now?
I am an ex-Jehovah’s Witness and a convert to Catholicism and according to their belief they must reject someone who rejects them. If I were to meet a Jehovah’s Witness who does not know me should I tell them that I am an ex-Jehovah’s Witness out of respect for their belief?
I was curious about the person of Eleazar in scripture. I was wondering if he was the same person from the book of Maccabees who was being forced to eat pork as well as the one in the genealogy of Matthew?
Was Jesus raised Jewish, and if so why aren’t we Jewish? Were Mary and Joseph Jewish and if so did they convert to Catholicism once Jesus started preaching?
I want to know the Catholic view of the rapture?
