I am dating a Catholic and thinking of converting to Catholicism. My family is Lutheran. On Christmas Eve we go to a midnight service and receive a symbolic communion. Should I participate in this if I believe what the Catholic Church teaches?
What did Jesus mean in John Chapter 21 when he told his apostles “the sins you forgive are forgiven …” How can Jesus give others this authority when he is the only one who can forgive us?
Why are Adam and Eve not historical, however, why is Christ considered a historical figure? Why do Catholics take Genesis mythological but the New Testament historically?
Why do Catholics go to confession? Why is there this necessity, where is it stated in scripture?
How is that Catholics believed in transubstantiation? And how do they justify that biblically because I believe it is anti-biblical.
I am a recent revert. I have not been confirmed, however, I am receiving communion. Am I doing something wrong by receiving?
If I am not a Catholic am I condemned?
