MANY thanks to those of you who have sent us notes of encouragement as we slowly catch up. We're sorry the magazine has been behind schedule, but at least we can note that we've cut the lag by about half over the last few months and expect to catch up entirely by later in the summer.
Some of our readers don't know that This Rock is one of many things we do at Catholic Answers. Given the small size of our staff (and a budget that seems even smaller), we're a little surprised that this organization has been able to do what it has over the last few years.
Because we've written up our work at the last two World Youth Days, you know that between them we reached more than half a million young Catholics with our booklet Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth. Maybe you've seen us on television or heard us on radio. Many of our readers have attended the seminars we give around the country. (If we have not been able to speak in your area yet, give us time--and how about a hand? Our seminar coordinator will be happy to speak with you about having a seminar at your parish.)
But what you probably don't have a feel for, because we haven't said much about it, is our work on the telephone and by mail. That's where we are able to deal with individuals on an intensive (and daily) basis. This takes a lot of our time, but it is having wonderful fruit: new converts, "reverts" to the faith, many problems solved. Please pray especially for this end of our apostolate.
