WHILE waiting to board our buses to the vigil site, we noticed a preacher near us speaking strongly against the Pope. We weren't sure how to react. Arguing would have been foolish. Just ignoring him seemed the best solution. But two girls in our group walked up to him, knelt down, and began to say the rosary.

Within a few minutes ten more joined. Before we were through the first decade, he was surrounded by people praying. He continued to preach, but he was affected. When the rosary was over, the two girls went up and gave him a hug. As we left I looked back and noticed he was in conversation with a staffer from Catholic Answers.
