Ray is a father, clinical psychologist, and author.
He is experienced in working with school districts, Head Start programs, mental health centers, substance abuse programs, inpatient psychiatric centers, and juvenile courts.
He has been a regular guest on national radio and television, including Oprah, Joan Rivers, and CBS This Morning.
He has appeared on regional shows in over 40 states and Canada and has been the program psychologist for Cleveland's Morning Exchange, Pittsburgh 2-Day, and A.M. Indiana.
He has written several books, including You're a Better Parent Than You Think!, now in its nineteenth printing, and Discipline That Lasts A Lifetime.
Ray is a frequent guest on "Catholic Answers Live" and writes a syndicated parenting column.
He also co-hosts our popular "The Doctor Is In" radio program.

You're a Better Teacher Than You Think!
Parents, teachers, and anyone who works with children today are having their confidence, peace of mind, and authority undercut by widespread myths that have been pushed upon them by the experts, the media, and almost everybody else. Victimized by these false notions, many parents and educators are plagued by groundless worry, guilt, and frustration. This presentation identifies the most pervasive of these myths.
Back to the Family
This talk presents the results of a three-year, national search for strong families. It reveals those characteristics most common to strong families, as well as the struggles and difficulties most families face. The results will reinforce traditional ideas about family life while offering some reassuring surprises.
Lessons for Life from Children
Children are consummate teachers about life. Their lessons are innocently straightforward yet hard-hitting. Any adult, whether a parent or not, will relate to these lessons for life. This presentation leaves grownups a little more grown-up and happier for it.

Fees:
Costs include an honorarium plus travel expenses.
East of the Mississippi: the honorarium is $1500 for a one-hour talk.
West of the Mississippi: the honorarium is $1800 for a one-hour talk.
Within 300 miles of Guarendi's home: the honorarium for a one-hour talk is $800 for charities and $1,000 for non-charities.
