Deacon John Beckmann is a cradle Catholic from Saint Louis, Missouri. He and his wife Cindy have been married since 1981. They have two sons and twin daughters.
Deacon Beckmann was ordained in June 2002 and has been involved in full-time ministry since June 2005. He is assigned to Saint Dominic Savio Parish in the Archdiocese of Saint Louis where his primary responsibility is evangelization and catechesis. Deacon Beckmann is the founder and President of Catholic Christians Defending Christ & His Church. This not-for-profit apostolate is focused on evangelizing and catechizing Catholics in their faith.
Along with Deacon James Russell, he is the co-host of Faith Conversations with James & John, a Catholic radio show that brings the teaching of Christ and His Church to the heartland of America. They also co-author a weekly parish bulletin column titled Faith Chats with James & John. Their radio shows and colorful bulletin columns are archived on their website www.catholicchristians.com for your listening, viewing, and reading. In early 2010, EWTN’s Global Catholic Radio Network began broadcasting Faith Conversations with James & John on its rotating Top-of-the-Week show.
Committed to fulfilling his ordination calling to serve the people of God, Deacon Beckmann is focused on spreading the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and defending His Church.
This book takes excerpts from talks and addresses of the Holy Father regarding the meaning of vocation and how a person ought to respond to God's calling, the calling that embraces God's mission for each one of us, and how we ought to strive to carry it out successfully.
