The Curé of Ars and the Priesthood

Father George Rutler holds several degrees from Oxford University, the Gregorian and Angelicum Universities in Rome, including the Pontifical Doctorate in Sacred Theology Father. Father Rutler was an Episcopal priest for nine years, received into the Catholic Church in 1979, and was ordained to the priesthood by Servant of God Terence Cardinal Cooke in 1981. Father Rutler is well-known to EWTN audiences and is the author of 14 books, including the best selling spiritual biography of St. Jean Marie Vianney The Cure of Ars.  He is now the pastor of the Church of Our Savior Parish in New York City.
