Aaron Kheriaty, MD, is the Director of Residency Training and Medical Education in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine. He is the founding director of UCI’s Psychiatry and Spirituality Forum, a program which explores the relationships between spirituality and mental health. Dr. Kheriaty also serves as chairman of the clinical ethics committee at UCI Medical Center. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in philosophy and pre-medical sciences, and earned his MD degree from Georgetown University. He has published articles and lectured internationally to professional and lay audiences on topics related to psychiatry, medical ethics, religion, and spirituality.
