BIOGRAPHY: Marie Meaney -is an Arthur J. Ennis Fellow at Villanova University. She received her doctorate in French literature and an M.Phil. in European literature (German, English) from Oxford University. She also has a Masters in philosophy from the International Academy of Philosophy in Liechtenstein, and a DEUG from the Sorbonne in Paris. Her book on the French philosopher and mystic Simone Weil ("Simone Weil’s Apologetic Use of Literature: Her Christological Interpretations of Ancient Greek Texts") came out last year with Oxford University Press.

Dr. Meaney has been active in the pro-life movement for many years, attending various U.N. Conferences among other things. She recorded the CD "The Da Vinci Code: A Violation of Women" for HLI, regarding the controversial book by Dan Brown. Her husband, Joseph Meaney, is director of international coordination at HLI.
